For more than a century, Chevrolet has been a leader in the auto industry, and during that time, the brand has produced a number of legendary models. When it comes to raw power and speed, the Corvette gets a lot of attention, but for us, the Camaro is just as worthy an option, and we love its bold, muscle-car design. The 2024 Chevy Camaro brings about the end of an era as it closes out the sixth generation for this remarkable sports car, but Chevy is doing it in style. It might be a while before we see the Camaro return-though we know that a successor is already in the works-so if you want to enjoy the raw power of this iconic vehicle, then now is the time to act.
At the heart of any sports car is its engine, which needs to have enough power to deliver on the promise of its elegant design. The 2024 Camaro has three different engines available, each providing an incredible driving experience that is sure to put a smile on your face. Your choice of trim determines which engine you get, so keep that in mind, but you can find a classic 6.2L V8 that provides 455 hp. If you go with the incredible Camaro ZL1, you get a supercharged V8 engine that delivers a monstrous 650 hp, creating a truly outstanding driving experience.
Inside the 2024 Chevy Camaro, you will find a comfortable and richly-appointed interior, though again, your choice of trim impacts what you find. There is supportive seating inside the Camaro, with fine upholstery, impressive technology, and great features to utilize while you are on the road. Chevy is sending the sixth-generation Camaro out properly thanks to three different special editions on offer. While the Redline Edition is sure to turn heads, the once-in-a-generation Collector Edition is our choice thanks to its gorgeous Panther Black exterior, forged aluminum wheels, rear spoiler, and much more. No matter which Camaro you choose, you will get a car worthy of its legendary name, and this is your last chance to enjoy everything the sixth-generation model has to offer.

Engines and Power

The Soul of a Sports Car
The engine is more than the beating heart of a sports car; it is the soul of a sports car-all of its power and even its personality stem from that roaring, fiery engine. This is something that Chevy understands in a way that few other manufacturers do, and you can see it in the engines available for the 2024 Camaro. No matter which Camaro model you choose, you are going to get a terrific driving experience thanks in large part to its engine, though several different options are available.
If you go with the 1LT, 2LT, or 3LT trim, you get the starting engine that wraps up the sixth generation. This is a 3.6L DOHC V6 that delivers 335 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque with rear-wheel drive for an exhilarating driving experience. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard with this engine, keeping you in control every moment you are behind the wheel. If you prefer, there is also an available 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the wheel, providing a smooth drive that is less demanding, though you can still take control when you prefer.
If you choose the LT1, 1SS, or 2SS trim of the 2024 Chevy Camaro, then you get a different engine: a 6.2L V8 that delivers an impressive 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission standard, with a 10-speed automatic available, much like the starting engine. But if you are interested in the ultimate expression of Camaro power, then you need to check out the ZL1 trim, which comes with a supercharged 6.2L V8 that roars to life with 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. This monster has the same standard and available transmissions as the other engines but provides an incredible time on the road that is sure to get your pulse pounding as it pushes you back in your seat.
Interior Features

Riding in Style
There is no denying that the 2024 Camaro is a powerful sports car, through and through, available as either a two-door coupe or a convertible. Yet, once you move inside, you find a remarkably comfortable and surprisingly spacious interior, fitting up to four passengers inside. You get more than 38 inches of headroom and nearly 44 inches of legroom up front, while your rear-seat passengers can still enjoy more than 33 inches of headroom and nearly 30 inches of legroom. While you might not get a basketball player to comfortably fit in the rear of the Camaro, plenty of other passengers will be quite happy going along for a ride.
When it comes to the features inside, your choice of trim level heavily impacts what you find, so keep that in mind. The standard LT trim is available in three different levels, with different features across them. With the starting 1LT, for example, you get a seven-inch infotainment display, a six-speaker sound system, an eight-way power driver seat, and a six-way power front passenger seat. Moving up to the 3LT, however, gives you an eight-inch infotainment display paired with an eight-inch Driver Information Center screen, plus a Bose premium sound system and more.
If you go all out with the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1, which is the pinnacle trim that includes a supercharged engine, then you get plenty of high-end features. The ZL1 features a Bose premium sound system-with nine speakers in hardtop models and seven speakers in convertibles-along with Recaro performance front bucket seats that provide a secure fit and extra support for high g-cornering while on the road or track. The ZL1 has heated and ventilated front seats, a heated sueded microfiber-wrapped steering wheel, and alloy sport pedals with a dead pedal. You also get a wireless charging pad and even a head-up display that projects information onto the windshield, including your speed, current gear, G-Force, and more.
Special Editions

Celebrating the Camaro
When we first heard that the sixth generation of the Camaro was coming to an end, we were hoping that Chevy would send this legend out properly; as soon as we saw the special editions for the 2024 model, we knew the brand had done just that. For starters, you have the Redline Edition, which looks absolutely stunning and is a great choice for many drivers. This model focuses on street style and includes 20-inch black-painted aluminum wheels with red accents, a black Camaro fender badge with a red outline, and a Jet Black interior for a striking overall look.
Chevy has also unveiled a special Garage 56 Edition that is exclusively available for the ZL1, designed to celebrate the special version of the Camaro ZL1 driven at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2023. The Garage 56 Edition starts with the new Riptide Blue exterior color and then adds thin gold stripes and a white stripe running from the hood to the rear deck lid. It is joined by a special NASCAR 75th Anniversary logo, with additional accents all over the exterior.
Finally, the Collector Edition is available only for this final model year and offered on all Camaro trim levels. On LT and SS trims, the Collector Edition includes a Panther Black Metallic paint scheme with a Black center stripe, a special fender badge, and 20-inch forged wheels, with a ZL1 rear spoiler and front splitter to complete its look. If you go for a ZL1 Collector Edition, you get a Panther Black Matte exterior with a Black Metallic center stripe, 20-inch Dark Graphite forged wheels, and carbon fiber details inside and out. This is the perfect way to bid an American classic farewell as we wait to see what comes next.
