Lots of people love Corvettes. Since 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette has been the ultimate sports car for the everyday driver. From price to performance to practicality, the Corvette is easy to love because it offers the best of everything that thrill-seekers want in a sports car. As a Chevy dealer, we love it when the new Corvettes come in. Each model year builds upon the previous model year in ways we couldn’t have predicted. The 2025 Stingray marks the fifth year of the Corvette’s eighth generation. While this means there are plenty of Corvette Stingray models on the road to admire, there is only one brand-new model.
Embracing tradition as much as it zooms towards the future, there is a lot to like about the 2025 Corvette Stingray. Some of these features are obvious, like the sophisticated yet aggressive exterior look of the vehicle, but others are not. We’d like to take this opportunity to share all of the things we love about the 2025 Stingray, obvious or not.
Its Appearance
Simply put, there is nothing that looks like a Corvette. There’s nothing that even remotely resembles a Corvette. Though some generations may be curvier while others are more angular according to the tastes of the time, one can tell from the overall shape and lines that they are in the presence of Chevy greatness.
The 2025 Corvette Stingray 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT models are each offered as a coupe with detachable hard roof panels or as a convertible with a fabric top, in accordance with Corvette tradition. Also familiar are the 19-inch front and 20-inch rear five-spoke aluminum wheels that help the Corvette execute top speeds. The Tech Bronze Accent Package that turns these into 20-spoke bronze aluminum wheels and adds a Tech Bronze Jake hood graphic accent and front fender hash marks is a newer addition to the Corvette lineup.
Inside, drivers know they’re in a 2025 Corvette thanks to the luxurious soft touches throughout the cabin. The 1LT and 2LT trims include the standard GT1 performance seats upholstered in genuine Mulan leather. Standard on the 3LT and available on the 2LT is the Napa leather and carbo-fiber-clad GT2 seat. Those planning to take their Stingray to the track can opt for the available Competition Sport seats, which include performance textile support in high-wear areas and the support you need to guide your Corvette to top speeds.
Even the 12.6 cu.ft. cargo space in the rear and front trunks can be outfitted with black, natural, or Adrenaline Red microfiber. Combined with Chevy’s seemingly endless list of exterior and interior color palettes, it is truly possible to build the Corvette of your dreams. What could we love more than the car we’ve always dreamed of?
Signature Corvette Performance
Of course, the appeal of the Chevrolet Corvette is not just in the sharp angles that break downforce or the way its summer tires hum along the pavement. For many drivers, it's how well those aerodynamics and performance equipment work when put to the test.
Each 2025 Corvette Stingray is equipped, as always, with Chevy’s 6.2L direct injection V8 engine. The standard output for this engine is an already impressive 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, providing the speed and convenience of automatic gear changes with the precision and performance of a traditional manual transmission, in addition to the option to change gears yourself using the paddle shifters on the steering column.
When equipped with the optional Z51 Performance Package, the engine performance increases to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. This results in a very impressive track-worthy 0-60 mph acceleration time of a mere 2.9 seconds. But the Z51 Performance Package isn’t just about increasing those numbers. It’s about bringing out the absolute best in your Corvette Stingray. The added features in this package, like performance suspension and unique Brembo brakes, are enough to win our love. However, we like that this package also addresses the exhaust situation to ensure an appropriate engine tone and sound level. It also enhances the rear axle ratio to adjust the Stingray’s stance for track-level performance. It’s the attention to absolutely all of the details that help us love the 2025 Chevy Corvette more than ever. As a bonus, Corvette Stingray drivers can add available Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0 to their ride. This system uses actual fluid and metal particles to create the most controlled, balanced stability possible. Suffice it to say that we love Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0.
Unique Features
We would still love the 2025 Corvette if it didn’t include standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. We would love it without its standard Bose ten-speaker audio system. We would even find room in our hearts for the Stingray if it lacked standard Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and other forward-moving collision mitigation technologies. But we don’t have to worry about that, because all those things are standard.
Drivers who choose the 2LT or 3LT trims have even more to embrace, such as wireless device charging, a heated steering wheel, memory settings for both seats and mirrors, and an upgraded Bose Performance Series 14-speaker audio system. Remember that the Corvette is a two-seat vehicle. We love how our favorite driving tunes sound on this system.
We also love the Corvette Performance Data and Video Recorder. This sort of thing is popular on supercars, and with the debate about whether Corvettes qualify as supercars raging, we like to think of this as a point in favor of the Corvette. This technology allows drivers to record video and performance data, including telemetry such as speed, G-force, lap times, and acceleration. The data can be instantly replayed on the touchscreen within the cabin or downloaded on a memory card for more thorough analysis.
You also have the ability to record scenic drives in Touring Mode or maintain peace of mind with Valet Mode, which keeps an eye on what’s going on behind the wheel of your Corvette when you cannot. We definitely love feeling secure, especially when we leave our cars in the hands of others.
Everything We Love about the 2025 Chevy
If we had to choose the thing we love the most about the 2025 Chevy Corvette, it would be the entire package. That may seem like cheating, but the truth is, our favorite thing about the 2025 Corvette Stingray is how all of its components come together to create a sleek, sophisticated sports car that is mighty fast. While having over 1,000 hp at your fingers is pretty impressive, sometimes that’s not the goal. Sometimes, you just want to slide behind the wheel and have the most exhilarating few moments of your day as you complete your regular commute. Sometimes, you want to look very cool as you burn rubber on the track. These dreams do not have to be mutually exclusive.
The 2025 Chevy Corvette continues in the tire tracks left before it by honoring tradition while also seeking innovation. Whether you prioritize heated and ventilated seats or a suede-lined frunk, there are endless reasons why the Corvette Stingray is one of the easiest cars on the market to love.
